Almost. Froze last Sunday while it rained/ sleeted. Figured a 2 PM renewal would be better than 8 a.m.
Gonna make it a point to do it in OCT next year.
I carry .38 special in my jacket pocket ( and a few pairs of pants with a long shirt or jacket) during the winter. I hate shooting revolvers, but it is my favorite to carry because it is so lightweight and much easier to conceal than my blocky XD.
I carry an XD 9 subcompact, have for about a year. I just recently spent some time at the range with my younger sister who is 5'2....100 lbs..teaching her to shoot.
She was so convinced a .380 was all she could handle and terrified of the 9 mm and .38 special...until she actually shot them...
Is your nephew a child? Start out handling a bb gun or airsoft until he handles it as safely as he should any "real gun".
Emphasize safety and make sure you always show Jim the gun is clear before you hand it to him and that he does the same for you.

I have the same problem, My right wrist is also very weak. I carry the XD9 subcompact and do just fine with it. I can go 200+ rounds with it, no problems. I also do well with my husbands XDM .40...however it is too big and heavy for me to conceal.
