You've got two options:
One, it's a factory option now for the P238 Black Diamond variation. Order the appropriate part from SIG and have your local gunsmith install it.
Two, Todd at Customized Creationz built an installed a ambi-safety for my P238 (including the appropriate right side grip...
The answer is YES.
Your priorities of work at an IDPA/USPSA/IPSC match are:
1) Shoot safe;
2) Have fun;
3) Get your hits;
4) Shoot fast.
The first two are the most important. The last isn't.
Try it out and have fun.
I need to stay away from the gun counter at the Post Exchange now.
They've a decent selection for the low-dollar to the high dollar, prices are competitive (or VERY competitive), and I pay no sales tax.
I may be broke, but I'm smiling. I WIN!! :D
Glock Knuckle: the callus on the middle joint of your middle finger, where your knuckle rubs against the mold seam on the Glock trigger guard.
If you don't have one (on each hand), you're not shooting your Glock enough. :D

Stage gun, unloaded in briefcase. 6 rounds loose (or loaded speedloader) on table. Primary pistol unloaded in holster. Beep.
Or stage gun pointed downrange on table, six in the cylinder. Beep. Hint, hint. :rubhands:
Introduce some discomfort, and provide an opportunity to challenge it...
My geography is flipped from yours; Tulsa is the long haul.
My usual fourth Friday night dialogue:
- Wichita Falls tomorrow, or USSA tomorrow?
- USSA: haven't shot that match yet...
- Wichita Falls: high round count, shorter drive, less gas, less time
- USSA: I want to shoot at least one...
Not a fan, but I'll play nicely with others; it'd help if the expectation of brass pickup is made clear at shooter briefing.. Most of the matches I've been to (in Oklahoma), the reloaders took care of themselves. Shoot their stage, reload mags during the next shooter and recover brass during...
It'll pay for itself after a couple of cases (plus you get more practice).
Have you done a search for the terms "advantage arms" yet?
It comes with a list of recommended ammo. Find the one that shoots the best for you (CCI Mini Mag & Federal Automatch for me).
You'll get fewer...

Heehee. The descent down the slope begins. Don't slip. :spaghetti:
I'm definitely in favor. I know I spotted one shooting Blazer Al at last month's match. That's what folks are carrying and that's what folks need practice with. Time on the trigger with the LCP (and P232, and P3AT, and...
They work great and shoot cheap.
Use high velocity ammo to reduce the failure to extract rate (1-3%, depending on when I cleaned it last). Keep a wooden dowel or rod to punch out the ones that don't extract.
Look on GunBroker. Last week, Uncle Sam's Guns on Ft Sill Blvd in Lawton had a...

The flashlight stage was very educational. I learned that the gun smoke may be more important than the fireball. I also learned that the flashlight is really good at lighting up all that gun smoke between you and the target. <-- [learned by observation]
I also need to practice more...
