I installed a new mag release lever this evening and it drastically reduced the tilting of the magazines. I won't know for sure until I get a chance to shoot it, but I'm relatively sure it is fixed.

So assuming the catch is the correct dimension, then could the magazine safety lever stop be too thick? I can't see any other component that would be out of tolerance and allow that much slop in the magazine well.
