Thanks for the reply. I went through that process, but the bad spots are still very visible. I shouldn't have done it, but to get through the three spots that looked like white splashes, I eventually used 2000 grit wet paper and it left a weird, course finish that will not blend with the rest of...
As the title indicates, hoping to find a quality gun blue service for my 1911, to include the proper blasting prep work that will fix my idiot spots where I tried to sand down some possible rust spots (and now cold blue will not take). Tulsa area preferred, but will drive to OKC area if...
USSA used to have ProAm matches with shotgun stages, seems like that has gone away. Does anyone know of similar action shotgun only (e.g. not 3 gun, don't have a AR) matches somewhat close to Tulsa? Best I could find is Texas, close to Dallas.

So.... I love shooting my pistol, shotgun, and bolt rifle but I feel like I miss out on so many matches/events because I don't have a semi-auto rifle. My heart is really in my Rem 700 (currently have Don Franson doing a Surefire muzzle brake install, can post pics when ready if anyone is...
Since the thread was kicked up, I thought I would share this USSA, 360 pic from Suday:
70 degrees with a slight wind and barely a cloud in the sky - tough to beat.
I think I wore the boy out!!!
Trying out different combinations on the 870 was a lot of fun/misery...
