Thanks for sharing these. I noticed the build plate above says 'November 1941'. A month before Pearl Harbor.
The rest of the world was desperate for steel for tanks and ships and vehicles and guns, but the USA was like 'Screw it, let's build a huge ass loco.'
I've got a neighbor with a Fescue yard that has been obliterated by those things. They really are terrible this year. He told me he is starting over next year because Fescue doesn't "bounce back".
Bermuda gets wrecked too, but apparently it regrows itself better.
Hello sir! The break wasn't due to a tantrum of rage or anything. Back then, I was getting a little too worked up about posters just posting. Also, the site ownership changed, and all-of-a-sudden shooting got really expensive.
I guess the expensive part hasn't really changed much...
I used to be a fairly common poster here, back when JB Books owned the joint and before. I recognized two or three screennames from then.
However to the rest of you - take it easy on me!
I am glad to be here.
If you're curious about this sort of thing, Oklahoma was a disposal point for quite a few war-weary WWII airplanes from 1945 - 1958.
The Navy's biggest boneyard was at Clinton-Sherman AFB out at Burns Flat. It was acres and acres of Corsairs, F6F's, and just about every carrier-based combat...
I'm a little surprised that CMP is around at all these days. The fact a psuedo-government organization is mailing guns out primarily out to a group of 2nd amendment touting voters seems like a prime, fat cow to slaughter at the feet of the unconstitutional progressives in this country.
When they get a spouse to call in for them.
Like, I listen to you brag about how you don't use Tylenol for headaches, chopped a forest of trees down with a handcrafted 8" hatchet, went helicopter bungee jumping, and spent 12 days alone out in the desert.
But you're too sick to talk to me on...
Pearl Harbor was an inside job to break out of the Great Depression.
Vietnam was a puppet war started by the CIA to demoralize our military.
The Panama Canal is the invasion point of the USA by China.
See how easy that is?
I dreamnt I had stuffed a chrome 1911 into my waistband, and while wearing it the slide somehow had shifted and was pinching my junk. I woke up and had fallen asleep on the TV remote!
Unemployed people are more stressed than employed people?
uh, hardly. Many of us worry about earning paychecks. They worry about when the next workmans comp or unemployment stub comes in.
