Oklahoma City does tennis at Will Rogers Park Tennis Center. Also golf is generally not done on school property. However golf courses are not always city parks so those would not fall under this statute.
My guess would be that the drivers license/ ID card have that barcode on the back that contain a bunch of other information so and officer could scan it to pull up your info. It also proves you are a resident of the state of OK. Since OK does not have a non-resident permit, only residents (or...
Those stores probably have a list of allowable photo ID's to include: Drivers License, Military ID, State issued ID card... Most likely State issued Handgun License is not on that list.
Just remember that carrying an unloaded firearm around open in your car does not meet one of the definitions of when it is OK to carry a firearm.
Title 21 Section 1289.6
A. A person shall be permitted to carry loaded and unloaded shotguns, rifles and pistols, open and not concealed and without a...
You are looking at old case law. The law was changed I believe last year so now you can.

See section A6.
I have OC'd since it became legal. I don't make a big showing of doing it in winter when I'm wearing a jacket, so in that instance I am CC. Only had 1 negative interaction and it was still cordial. 1 interaction with LEO checking my permit. Several positive interactions/conversations.
Right after OC became legal in Oklahoma, MetroTransit (the bus line in OKC) started throwing a big stink about people being able to openly carry handguns on city buses. City buses are generally run by the city and therefore, due to state preemption, cannot create their own rules regarding...
Since I was the one who wrote to CityLink, and it was my post that was copied, what part of that post makes you think I am not OK with concealed carry???
Is the gun show promoter not a member of the public? Did that member of the public not do business with the government on some level to reserve and rent the building?
Just because the attendees don't do direct business with the government doesn't mean business with the government was not...
Speaking of Texas 30.06 signage, just read an article about the OC bill that has passed in Texas and businesses will be required to have 4 signs if they don't want people to carry. English and Spanish versions of 30.06 for concealed carry and English and Spanish versions of 30.07 for open carry.
And just for a quick update, the following bills are now dead as they did not get out of their chamber of origin:
HB 1329
HB 1936
HJR 1009
Only 11 bills remain alive
HB 1391
HB 1396
HB 1460
HB 1911
HB 2014
SB 164
SB 219
SB 41
SB 525
SB 56
SB 798
I'm not don't care one way or the other about NE since I don't go there, I was just providing an example as requested.
However you did mention that a criminal background check seemed to be the most prevalent thing before granting reciprocity. I don't know how many of those would consider NICS...
Here is Nebraska:
http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/nebraska.pdf
Nebraska has reciprocity if the issuing states permit meets or exceeds the Nebraska procedure. Nebraska requires fingerprints run through AFIS.
One of the cost factors in the finger print requirement. To run a NICS check will cost less than $2.00. Per OSBI, the cost to run the AFIS finger print check is $41.00.
