Thanks for the info. I made hold on to them and enjoy them myself a while longer. Here are some of the pics I have of the SKS showing the markings. To the best of my knowledge it's a non-refurb or a very light refurb. No cross bolt, no black painted parts, etc.

Thanks @rawhide Over the Christmas break, I was playing around with a new stock I picked on clearance from Stocky's. It's the laminated version for a Remington Model 5. I figure this one will be more durable out in the woods.
