this year I made a big mistake when putting my boat in at cobb. I unhooked everything backed in on a sandy boat ramp.i got out and before I got to the boat it floated out alittle. it was 10ft from me and the water was up to my chest. i drove to the cabin as fast as I could got a fishing pole...
i would give a box of steel shot and 200 rds of 22lr to borrow a layout blind for sunday going hunting with few guys I have a layout blind and my friends do but the new guy doesn't have one .text or call 405-589-7437
I was duck hunting fort cobb. i started putting decoys out in waist deep water. i went to walk out and was couple inches from getting water in my waders. I was stuck, I mean really stuck but I had a stick I used to get my self out.
there is always atleast 4-5 birds on the pond its 1/2 acre pond the slough is 1/4 acre the slough emptys into the pond i have seen alot more ducks on the slough but not all the time
i have a farm pond there is a slough behind it and the neighbor has a pond behind it. i have been duck hunting for awhile but never have hunted a pond with decoys.
My question is where and how should i set up in the pond or in the slough how many decoys also is it even worth hunting i have seen...
well i got my permit today.got somebad news my hunting partner is moving. so i have no one to hunt with so if anyone has an open seat let me know or if i draw a blind someone can join me i have plenty of decoys, a boat, and probably an extra shotgun
good info. i cant seem to find where to buy the permit i know i need it. i found a map online and have it saved. i may try there also. i mainly hunt fortcobb but i cant go down there every weekend or my wife would kill me. so i want a place close to mustang.
