Missed a step on garage attic access and landed hard on left heel bone, sprained pretty good. Hope to be well before the match, but old guys don't heal as fast as they used to. I might just be a spectator this summer, and have a ticket to sell.

Catt, that is a beautiful job on the 87! I'm a big fan of the "fish gill" rimfires. (never heard them called that until I found your posts).
My best friend in high school would take his fathers Stevens 87 (I think) and I would have my Mossberg 320 single shot to go shoot squirrels. I lusted...
I'm planning on it!
Just had an idea, everyone over 60 that completes the 10K and bonuses without a medevac should get 5 minutes deducted from their run time for each year they are over 60! Brilliant!
Rats I'd still be near the bottom of the list. Maybe 10 minutes a year....?

Hi SMS, been trying to reply since Monday, and yep I'm Randy. The old coot with the Swedish Mauser. Hope you did a lot better than I managed to do overall. Hit all of my targets except the white rifle target at stage 5, but my "run" (trot, walk, stagger, crawl, sit) time could use some (a lot)...
I figured as much for the mil-surp, just wanted to clarify. I'll have to practice prone with my Swede and sling. Three surgeries and 4 screws make it a challenge for my left shoulder. Time to man up!:soldiers:
Hi Ted! Are we gonna be able to use a bipod or some kinda rest with our old military bolt guns? (at the 500 yd stage) My old bones don't hold very steady in prone, even with a sling. Randall
I ran the 2014 Summer 10K with it, and that made it a lot worse, so sat out next two runs, lesson learned. Still tender in right foot but going anyhow!
Mike (son) and I are in for the 10K, looking forward to it! I missed the 2015 Winter and Summer runs trying to beat "plantar fasciitis". Doing much better and will be retired Nov.1 so I can get a little more fit. At least as fit as a 66 year jarhead can get. I believe I'll give the military...
My son and I underestimated how fast this event would fill up and are on the waiting list. We're gonna come to Pawnee anyhow, maybe some more will cancel or no show. Is there a way to check the "wait list" for our position?
Regards, Randall
