For all the good a .300 Whisper is, a brass bead should suffice.............
Nomex suit on now...............
It was a weak moment, what can I say ? :oops3:
Making what ya need of what you have at hand. My kinda thinkin'.
I been tossing around the idea of filling some 1/2" O.D. ACR tubing with lead and turning them on the lathe until they suit me and my verynear calipers. Then stuff them onto a .45-70 case with some kinda fast burning propellant...
Nice work !
I spun a song dog around with a .223 bolt gun spitting a 55 Sierra Game King at just over 300. He side crabbed about 20 feet trying to bite the gut that was hangin out the lee side of him then went to sleep.
.223 will do it fine. A 300 WM will do it mo betta. :)
Yup. I have some from the early 80's I used for .30 Herrett & 7 TCU like that. The slip top ones I got for $0.99 ea to stack up .45 & .38 fodder literally fell apart. :(
Glock 27. Ex took it with her. Best thing she ever did. Was worth the wore out 1911 I traded for the 27 to get rid of her.
I WISH the only thing I disliked about a Glock was the trigger. Very good handgun, I just cannot stand how they shoot, feel and look. But then, nobody has ever topped the...
All my cheapo plastic boxes have ended up cracking to pieces. I been using Repack's products for years. Except for the precision ammo, everything is going in them. They make excellent fire starter when no longer needed to ammo. lol
I got no vested interest in this outfit, lets get that out there to start with.

I found this outfit back when I was active on FalFiles. Over the years I used the few box sixes they had for .308 & .223 . I would make boxes using theirs as patterns out of cereal boxes...
Interesting takes on the 7.62 x 39 cartridge in an AR action. I read the OP pasted article some time ago during the gathering stage of the first assembly (pistol). It ran flawlessly. Used a bolt made for the business, ie- not "flimsy".
Second gathering resulted in the rifle I have mentioned...
There was a confirmed (by more than one credible witness) lion sighting on our place in Pontotoc county in the early 90's and more than a few credible testimonies of cat prints through the years since in the same area. None recent that I am aware of. All the cattle on the place since the mid...
In my 'x 39 AR, I am shooting 123 Gr Hornady Amax bullets over 24.0 of IMR 4198 . 18" Green Mountain tube, 1:10. Shoots into an inch.
I Have used a load with same bullet and 14-15 grains of 2400, but only in an AKM. Would not run most of the rifles. A couple AKM's I assembled WOULD run that...
I load the pellet gun looking slugs in Win AA cases and a red plastic wad. I forget the designation of the wads and the powder charge (I use a ghetto Lee Load all, lol). I tried them in a smoothbore improved cylinder, 18" tube. Worked "okay", about 12 MOA. Tried them in a rifled tube, shot...
While I once owned a Grock, my ex stole it when she left. Best thing she ever did while we were associated with one another. I also like my 1911's, but have come to like my Sig P220 better.
None can come close to the S&W wheelguns and the confidence in them that I have. Not to mention I can...
(Flame Retardant ON)
I will be surprised if you do not get stellar service from Mossberg regarding this. I have had occasion to deal with them many times over the last 25 years or so. I personally regard Mossberg 500 shotguns over every other make of slide action. Bar none.
