Slip 2000. I used Hoppes since I was a kid, but two years ago I switched to Slip 2000 in my shop when I got a bunch of samples from the dealer, and I haven't looked back. This stuff is phenomenal. They do everything from heavy carbon buildup (after soaking all you have to do is wipe it off) to...
So my first official thread is a question, more than a discussion. I've only been in Oklahoma for about three weeks or so, and while I am a firearm fanatic I need to get back into archery to broaden my capabilities. I still have my old bow, but I haven't shot it in years. I'm looking for a good...
I've only been in Oklahoma for two weeks now, but from what I've read it sounds like Tulsa PD and Albuquerque PD would be fantastic bedfellows. For themselves, at least. God help anyone who would be stuck in that municipality.
*sigh* I don't trust any news source whatsoever. These yahoos are so one sided (and this goes for left and right news agencies) and biased towards their agenda. They've been printing stuff like this for decades but nothing ever changes on our side. They flicker briefly like a match with the...
If it was a rhetorical question then ignore this answer, but in the interest of being thorough yes, civies in Mexico can own firearms, they just can't be in the same caliber as the ones used by the Mexican military.
Experience with the 762SDN6 here. It was on a 8.1 Noveske barrel, and we were able to shoot factory load Hornady 220gr subsonics indoors without hearing protection comfortably.
The first is a standard YHM modular tube with a YHM qd can, but there's no latch for the qd which makes it nice. No problems with overheating . It does get war, but sustained fire with no gloves never made it too hot to handle. 5.56 NATO
Heres a full custom build I did for a customer. Similar...
Another vote for the Sig brace. Fantastic loophole, and it keeps your information from being in the NFA database, not to mention $200 bucks in a stamp and 9-14 months of waiting.
You can go shorter if you wish, but you would have re-position the gas port. Doable, but tricky as you have to make sure it's timed just right. Whatever you do, you need no less than 2" between the muzzle and the gas port for proper operation.
I came across three HS Citations when I was gunsmithing in Albuquerque and every single one had feeding issues due to the magazines. 90% of the time the magazines have to be fit to the gun.
We like to call those parts "air soluble". In gunsmithing school, one of the first things we learned was the gunsmith crawl, something you master very quickly. Then they showed us the tool of our shop - it was like a push broom, but instead of bristles it had long magnetic strips attached to the...
I still have the demo on my xbox, I never got around to purchasing the full game, but I think it's one of the better if not the best zombie console game out there. A shame it flies under the radar.
It's a shame to see their numbers growing so quickly. I grew up in Colorado and always assumed we would go back there once my wife finished school, but now I'm not so sure. I love it there, and we didn't have to many vagrants where I'm from (too high of altitude, too many gun wielding...
That's a clean setup you got there. And I feel your pain. Took me the better part of two years myself to get the parts I needed for my custom bolt gun, but let me tell ya, there's no better feelin once you get to shoot it after staring at brown boxes for so long.
I've managed to keep my wifes gen 1 P22 running, but I've seen plenty of them with cracked slides and what not, especially on the versions with a muzzle "compensator", or whatever you want to call it. Those slides are nasty.
I'd have to say my Springfield 12ga shotgun. My dad passed it down to me after his mom bought it for him after losing his old gun nearly drowning on the Sacramento river while duck hunting.
