We have several kids that participate on the OSU practical shooting team that want to get certified, and we desperately need more RO's in our club. I'll send this info their way. Thanks!
Learning all the rules and scoring procedures by taking the RO class gives you a deep understanding of the rules that you just don't get any other way. It's a huge advantage as a competitor, and it will make you a competent RO that applies the rules consistently and fairly. I definitely...
Just curious if anybody that's driving down thursday and coming back friday night has some extra room in the car. I would love to tag along and pitch in for gas. I'll make my own hotel arrangements at wherever you're staying if this works out.
Send me a PM if you've got some extra space in...
IPSC!!!! I shot IPSC/USPSA for the first time as a 23 year old with the maturity of a 15 year old and had more fun than any video game I'd ever played. It's a blast.
Awesome match today. I shot like crap, but I had fun. Big thanks to whoever designed the memory stage with all the barrels. We don't see stages that difficult to plan very often. It definitely makes you work for your score.
I wasn't talking about you specifically man. You're a good example of that though, and you're doing an awesome job about picking up knowledge and improving as you go. There are just a lot of people that don't come out and compete because they're afraid of being embarrassed.
You just have to approach the sport with no ego. I think a lot of gun owners, especially those who have been around guns their whole lives, have a lot of pride in their ability to shoot. You just have to realize that if this is something you've never done before, nobody expects you to be...
Awesome match, and an excellent test of accuracy. You can always trust those guys to find your weaknesses with their stage designs, which means they're doing an amazing job.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the site, but if you're hesitant you can always call USPSA: (360) 855-2245. They're open during the day M-F and are always very helpful when I need something.
+1. Come out and try it. You'll have fun no matter what you shoot. If you want to get new equipment after a few matches, you'll know more about what you want.
The mag release. The original XD is designed in such a way that it's almost like springfield was trying to make it hard to press the release. The frame has a little shelf surrounding the buttom that you have to reach around to actually force it down. It doesn't matter at all with the extended...
This. Also, if you haven't bought the gun, consider getting an XDm instead. The XD will do the trick, but the XDm has at least one fundemental design improvement that makes a big difference in competition shooting.
