Lol, and she stated that she "made the gun inoperable" before turning it into an SBR. Based on the slide in the charging handle, my guess is that she pulled out the BCG. But no, this isn't that movie "Shooter", and that doesn't count as a destroyed/inoperable firearm in the real world!

These people always talk about how we need more firearm laws. I say we just enforce the laws we already have and put this woman in prison for violation of the National Firearms Act!

Keep in that firearm customization is generally a fairly simple and straight forward process. I'd say probably about 1/5 customizations we do are guys dressing up a carry gun for their wives.
Good luck, hope she loves it!!!
Didn't read all the feedback so someone may have said it already, but pick yourself up a cheap set of anti-walk pins. The steel pins will slowly rotate in the plastic receiver and open up the holes, making the gun useless. These pins are cheap and prevent that from happening.

Actually, I think this was the rifle mentioned in the article I read and not the vsass.
It was an opinion in an article I read somewhere, can't remember where now, but here's an Army Times article from last year that briefly mentions the 6.5 in a search for a new caliber...
That's good to hear, and thanks for getting back with us! I hope when I eventually get my hands on one it runs right! I know that some of us have been critical/sceptical of the gun but it's not that we WANT it to suck, I think for the most part everyone wants one, and wants it to be awesome...
Holy Crap! I remember hearing before the election people talking about their "non-profit" schemes, but I had no idea about all this! Last I heard (before hibernating in my bunker apparently) was Trump acting like a little girl saying he was directing the FBI to stop investigating her Jan-Feb...
NP3 Plus is a solid coating, and I don't think that a single person that knows what they are talking about will tell you otherwise.
Each coating has its distinctive advantages and disadvantages and every coating subjected to the right conditions will begin to corrode, but it's fixable if caught...
Thanks Brutha, always do.
Thanks Shadow, seeing your experience on this topic I have a TON of questions for you and may PM a few of them one day if it's ok, because I love gathering as much information as possible on these matters but hate digging through engineering reports and college studies...
Aww, Buffer. Did we just become best friends??? And yes, I most definitely am.
I have noticed this. I kept thinking I somehow kept getting anomaly after anomaly in customers. I always go through so much effort to effectively communicate the differences in triggers, barrels, handguards...
When I was doing contract work a few years back, we had a guy that ACCIDENTALLY FORWARDED ONE email that contained Secret(not TS) information to someone that could better answer the Soldier's question. All servers had to be wiped, he was fired, lost his Security clearance and DSS(FBI for...
Hey Buffer,
If I somehow offended you, I'm sorry man, no offense was intended.
As far as sitting LEFT ALONE in a B117 salt bath spray, yes np3 and most every other soft coating including Cerakote will littlest any PVD that I'm aware of. But PVD has the ability to soak up and retain oil...
So for holster wear/daily scratch resistance, you're primarily concerned with how hard the coating is. The NP3 Plus is some fairly hard stuff with a Rockwell C hardness of 35-50 which converts to a Vickers hardness of 320-550. As a comparison, the proprietary DLC and AlTiN we use has a Vickers...
Also, Diamon-Like Carbon Alloy(DLC) or Aluminum Titanium Nitride (ALTIN) both offer excellent scratch resistance and are charcoal grey to black in color. Plus, you can have them range from being very matte to a polished gloss look.
We sent off some components (to include slides and barrels) for...
