I do have a new little pocket rocket on order. I just couldn't pass up the new NAA Breaktop in .22Mag with second cylinder for .22s,l,lr. Granted no target pistol, but should do in a pinch.
I am in need of some work on my 1911a1 too. I need to have an ambi thumb safety installed/ plus I'll need to purchase the part too. The pistol I have is a SA Mil-spec, brand new still in the box.
I too carry the little LCP-II. With the exception of a J-frame I can't think of a better pocket gun out there. It fires from a locked breech with a concealed hammer, and will handle all .380 loads. I've got over 1K plus through her and have had no problems with her. Granted she's no target...
I think once you get your hands on one you'll be surprised! Very light weight, feels good in the hand, points naturally, and it doesn't take alot of upper body strength to operate. Even so its recoil is very light, an comes back on target quickly. I just can't say enough about this little...
Sorry for not being around. Had some finacial issues of late, and lost my wife to heart issues in July, so it's like my first time out of the proverbial cave to see the world. Just dealing with life and its up an down's!!
I don't remember the model I have but it has high profile sights, ambi thumb safeties, and is matte black, and shoots like a house on fire. It was less than 5 bill's new, and I haven't looked back since. I've had her going on six years with no problems. Best money I've ever spent on a 1911. I...
For DA/SA for me nothing can hold a candle to the S&W 3rdGen guns. In particular I favor the 4566, 4516 , 5903, and the 3913. Similar to the 4566 is the 4506 which was my dpt's duty gun while an LEO. I carried the 4516 as my off duty gun along with a S&W 640ND. As my setup now the 4566 is my...
Like our friend here I am a Walther fanatic having collected several Walther pistols an rifles. When the plant in Ranger Alabama stopped making PPK, PPK/s, and TPH's I was very sad as these were some of the finest made Walther's outside of Germany/France. The one's made by S&W for the most part...
There is a valid reason for the thread title. I own both of these except my Colt is in .32acp, so its an 1903. After looking over both guns I noticed that what SW did was to take the Colt and create a updated version of the 1903. Both guns are similar in size, shoot the same cartridge, and both...
It may cost a little more, but I'm in the same boat about getting a older S&W model 10 or 64. There's a bunch on GunBroker an Guns America to choose from.
Its to bad S&W never made this gun with a 2" to 2-1/2" barrel and round but frame, or even a model like the model 15 with its 2" barrel. To me the model 15 an 67 are two of the finest .38 special fighting handguns. Granted they aren't .357's, but you can get +P loads that will do all you need...
I know it a change in subject matter, but I love my 20Ga an .410 Shockwave!!!!!!! I'm looking into getting another 20Ga so I can have one for the car, and home. The .410 is in my kit bag.
I have one of these on both my Mini-14 an Mini-30, and they work!!!!!!!!!! Worth every penny!
