I like a DAO 9mm subcompact for pocket carry. I feel safer carrying it than striker fired and if it has to be used I doubt I will notice the long trigger pull.
I won a .22 rifle from the FFA chapter at my school for selling the most B&G sausage in 1985. I was 15. They only had the sausage then. Still have the .22. Second prize was a Buck pocket knife.
I plumbed an old Ashley into the masonry chimney of my fireplace using single walled pipe. Heats my 1900 sf all electric house like a champ. I bought a rick of firewood in 1999 when I bought the place but haven't since.
That's what I'm going to do. It seems pretty reasonable and if I split the 25 lbs with a buddy I'll still have enough to last for quite some time. A couple of years ago I went to Pond creek pheasant hunting. I'd never seen anything like the number of birds there. It was a lot of fun!
I guess I didn't look close enough, thanks for the heads up. I would definitely want 2F for the rifles. I guess I'll have to go with the goex. I like to shoot black powder cartridge rifles like trapdoors and martinis. Also hunt with my .577 Enfield though i haven't ever gotten a deer with it...
Have you ever used the kik powder? I'm wanting a decent powder for loading 45-70 .45 long colt and it's the least expensive. Also not to beat a horse I'm sure is already dead but powder has really gotten expensive:)
In this day and age that seems like a decent deal price wise. I've always had great luck with Blazer Brass 9mm and .45 acp, but Federal makes good ammo too. I've not tried any of the federal 9mm yet, but every other caliber I've bought from them has performed well and I really love their brass...
Years ago I bought some Norma brass (boxer primed) cases from Southwest shooters in OKC and reloaded them using speer 180 grain bullets and IMR 4895. I was trying to duplicate a heavy ball load when at that time all the milsurp available tended to be light ball. I Can't remember the exact...
I haven't bought any in years and could stand to have a few pounds to reload with. Does anyone still carry regular black powder or has the world gone completely to substitutes? The last I bought was at Outdoor America and it was $8.00/lb if that tells you anything! I'm sure if it is available...
