Individual Form 4 from a SilencerShop kiosk. I'm at 416 days. Apparently still "pending" as of last week. Never had one take this long, starting to wonder if they lost my paperwork.
I eventually learned to only sell what I truly don't care for or don't ever bring out. When presented with choice A or B and both look good the best answer is both, if you can't right away, pick one and make the other happen later. Not everything needs a specific purpose either, I've got a whole...
I loved mine enough I paid Uncle Sam an extra $200 so my MP5 had a friend. Mine is a first run and has the early magazines prone to cracking feedlips. Got two mags that eventually cracked, but the new ones and the aftermarket steel reinforced ones seem great.
I'm really happy to see these new ones are nice. I paid what was a LOT for me at the time to get a S&W contracted PPK/S and it was the shiniest prettiest awful little turd I ever owned. Externally it was beautiful, internally it looked like someone cut the parts out with a hacksaw and roughly...
I don't have a PTR91 GI specifically but I do have a couple PTR rifles. They do a pretty good job with the roller lock rifles, better welds and finish than HK had back in the day for sure. The one time I've used the warranty they were great, fixed the issue, and even installed the QD mount for a...
I used these guys for an HK P7. Nice matte chrome. They can do aluminum frames too with a nickel coat first.

Congrats on the 39-2 as well! I just recently got one myself. Was in pretty rough shape in a spot on the slide. Ended up doing a home brew...
I tend to like slightly larger single stack pistols. I started out with a SIG P225 which is kind of a chunky gun (but shoots great!). Now it's either an HK P7 or a Kahr T9. I've been eyeing the Walther CCP despite it's wonky take-down method.
Great writeup! A P32 with belt clip has been my around the house pistol for a while now, great while doing yard work etc. My go to ammo for it is Prvi Partizan. It's decently hot FMJ stuff and has been flawless. I will admit I have a possibly abnormal love for the little .32ACP. It is no...
I had Huntington Fine Jewelers engrave mine. They did a great job but the fancy precision machine they use might be a bit more expensive than a lot of folks want to pay. I had a thread about them a while back. I think my CZ Scorpion was something like $60.
Yeah pretty much. You get a hand receipt and he gives you a call when it's all done. The focus there is of course Jewelry and keepsake engraving , so guns can take a little longer. I wasn't too worried because I was already waiting months for the stamp to come through anyway.
The first upload is for any photos that may be required. Some people have uploaded pictures of their trust engraving but it isn't necessary to upload anything here. The second section is the correct place to upload your trust documents. Should not cause an issue having the trust uploaded twice...
For the barrel lengths most current .380s have I opt for FMJ. You are gaining very little from an expanding hollow point in .380 beyond preventing over penetration. A significant portion of even major brand .380 JHPs fail to expand and act like FMJ with some rounds expanding and failing to reach...
Originals go in the safe. I made full color scans and had them printed and laminated for bringing along to the range. Technically your stamp is nobody's business but the ATF since it's a tax document and not a permission slip...BUT...most ranges will not let you shoot your NFA item without...
Good point, I should have listed my cost to give people an idea of how much it's gonna run.
My AR15 lower and MP5 were done for a total of $130, so roughly $65 each including designing my trust "logo". My most recent work on the CZ Scorpion was $50 including an enamel fill on the text.
Sorry if this is in the wrong location, wasn't sure exactly where something like this should go so I took my best guess!
Just wanted to give other local stamp collectors another option for getting Form1/Trust information engraved. I'm now on my third SBR project with engraving done by Jeff...
The Sphinx .380s were amazing little guns. I'd love to get one of the 3000 series pistols but all those older Sphinx guns are hard to find and quite expensive.
UPDATE!
I've just crossed the 1000 rounds fired mark and have not had a single issue. Today I fired a mix of FMJ and two brands of JHP (Winchester Ranger 147gr and Hornady 124gr XTP). Wear patterns continue to only be obvious on the barrel, particularly the hood and towards the muzzle end...
Sending an IPSC target out to nearly the full length of the range and taking my time single action only for a full 15 round magazine gave me the above result. I'm pretty happy with it though I must admit I've been shooting a much larger pistol a lot more lately that really made the Sphinx SDP...
I noticed a lack of content here in the review section so I figured I'd contribute with a brief(ish) review of a recent purchase of mine.
New in box initial impressions.
Being a fan of the CZ75 series of pistols for a while now the Sphinx SDP Compact had my interest as soon as it began...
