Moving to Roger's county with NFA

Thanks for the info, I think we said the same thing though as I didnt say they would enter the location of the weapon but that they are well within their legal right to request to see the NFA item that the tax stamp is registered to and you are required to provide what they request Now at that...

Moving to Roger's county with NFA

I believe you are wrong, at least from what I read and was told by the ATF Agent. When you have a tax stamp weapon the ATF has the right at any time to show up and request to see the weapon and make sure everything is secured and in your possession. This is why I was told that the address has...

Moving to Roger's county with NFA

I had to change the address on my SBR 6 years ago. I got it after my Dad passed away and didnt even know until I was talking with a ATF agent. You are only required to notify the ATF, the state of Oklahoma doesnt need to know at any level unless you just want them to know.

    Suggestions for a 9mm suppressor

Perfect, thanks for the info. That was one of the models I have on my list. I am looking at going thru Cold Hand Arms at Wilshire gun club. They handled one of my other Class 3 weapons and they have the kiosk. Hopefully this one will come back in less than 14 months. My last 3 have takern...

13 months later, still no SBR

I have already spoke with the Examiner at the ATF, not much can be done now at this point as they are waiting on the FBI.

13 months later, still no SBR

Money back on what? There is no way a dealer is going to give me my money back on a Class 3 rifle that I have attached my optic on, my suppressor QD along with shot 300 rounds thru it just because the ATF is taking their time.

13 months later, still no SBR

This was for a 10.5" .300 Blackout rifle. My plan was to get it and then go for a 9mm suppressor next, but man these wait times are brutal.

13 months later, still no SBR

So I bought a new SBR 10/2019, did the electronic process at the dealer and everything was cashed by the ATF by 10/20/19. Dealer said it would be 4-7 months at that time based on previous Form 4's. Then Covid hits, so I let it go for a bit. I just called to poke into the process last week...

    NFA Gun Trust question

When we added another Class 3 item to our Trust the ATF made us send in a RPQ form for every person and finger prints for every person. Also based on the current laws, even for the items not in the trust a family member can take them over just fine. They can even get a new stamp in their name...

    Suppressor

Please correct me then, I just went thru this with a class 3 item and the ATF 3 years ago. So I am going off of personal experience and in my dealing with the ATF.

    NFA Gun Trust question

I just went thru this with my trust, in the eyes of the ATF it doesnt work like that. When I removed 2 people from my trust I had to draw up papers, have them signed and notarized and then sent to the ATF. Also at that point any new items that are added to the trust requires that ever person...

    Suppressor

You cant legally do this either. The person on the Form 4 has to keep possession of the Class 3 item the entire time. You are also required to notify the ATF when the address on the Form 4 where the Class 3 item resides changes as well. Failure to do either of these can result in the Class 3...

    NFA Gun Trust question

There really isnt much use to the Trust option anymore. It doesnt avoid any paperwork and actually requires more paperwork when you add new items under the trust.

Sig P320 potentially unsafe. Lawsuit filed.

Kind of hard to "full recall" a gun if the owners refuse to send the gun into the manufacture for the repairs. I have several P320 guns and on the one that was affected Sig threw in all sorts of goodies to entice owners to send the guns in for the repairs.

    Sig Sauer Tango4 1x4 on a Springfield SOCOM 16 M1A

The current rail (maybe 6" long) is part of the upper receiver I believe.

    Any Trust lawyer recommendations?

As it is now, you still dont with or without the trust. Originally it was a way to avoid the background checks but now with the loophole closed the RPQ has to be filled out for every member on the board any time a new Class 3 item is added to the trust. With or without a trust a personal...

    Sig Sauer Tango4 1x4 on a Springfield SOCOM 16 M1A

So I am going to try and put a Tango4 on my Springfield M1A SOCOM 16. This rifle has the ArchAngel stock on it with the Picanny rail mounted in front of the chamber. I am planning on using the Larue Tactical LT-139 QD mounted in reverse to try and overcome the eye relief distance. Has anyone...

    Any Trust lawyer recommendations?

AS someone who has a trust setup I am seeing now there isnt really an advantage to having one now that the loophole was closed up several years ago.

    AR Styles/Calibers

Dang near any off the shelf AR-15 in 5.56/.223 or the NATO barrel will meet your requirements OP. The S&W MP-15 series are a solid rifle and will give you years of enjoyment. I've owned mine since they 1st came out. Granted it is completely modded out now, but it still gets the job done. I have...
