    All purpose 45 acp's?

Ditto on the HK. The 45c paired with the Milt Sparks VM2 is a nice combo. 10 round mags available. Like that FNX too.

    S&W 625 revolver

The 625 is a great gun. I sent my 10mm to Dawson and had it reamed to accept 10mm mag. Nice to be able to shoot .40, 10mm, and 10mag with the same gun. Mostly used it at the range and hunting. Changed the front sight to the gold bead which really helps. If you are going to CC, can't go wrong...

I reckon I'm really lucky, got my 1911 back today, and the cracked barrel.

You might set your target at 4.7gr, which according to your sampling, would keep you under the max. I load on a progressive too, but still pull one off and weight it from time to time. Practice consistency of movement while pulling that handle.

Or even "watermelon meets muzzle blast".

    What is your woods revolver/pistol????

It depends on the activity, but usually a 44 mag or 45 ACP, 3" to 6". 357 is also a good choice; years ago I carried one.

    Pistol for bears?

I would be comfortable with a 44 mag in Colorado loaded with a heavy Garrett or Buffalo load.

    I went shooting today

I have bought and sold 2 new Kahrs (380 and PM9), both were flawless and accurate out of the box. Nice guns. I am glad to hear that they came into their own.

    Opinions wanted: Progressive reloaders!

I load all my range and hunting ammo on the progressive Dillon 550. I can get super accurate loads with the ball and flake powders. I can crank out a lot of this ammo in a short time. However, when loading some rod powders, I do get some small inconsistencies. I slow down when using these...

    new Browning 1911's

I have only heard about the 1911/22 being released this quarter, no 1911/45 from Browning. See link for pic and specs on 1911/22 release. http://www.ammoland.com/2010/11/23/browning-1911-22-lr-pistol/ Anybody else heard of a firm release of a 1911 in .45 from Browning? That would be...

Have a friend looking for a CCW .45 acp

I think a Kimber ultra in .45, carried in a milt sparks versa max 2, is a very light and easy carry.
