This. The MSM is spinning it as "Colt has come to our side of the debate", but Colt acknowledged that the AR market is oversaturated and they want to shift their focus on handguns. I think the success of the new Cobra and King Cobra is a significant influence.
Shadowrider has the right answer, and I'll add that the Speer short barrel .357 aren't full powered loads. They're about 100 fps faster than .38 +P. A true .357 load needs a longer barrel than a snubbie to get its ideal terminal velocity, and it's a potent load. Speer did a good job getting...
Yes, the model number is on the frame under the yoke. The serial number is right above it. The serial number is also at the bottom of the grip frame. If you inadvertently ruin the one on the grip, there’s still the one on the yoke.
I haven’t used one. They used to be priced right in line with Geissele so there wasn’t much reason not to get a Geissele. But they get comparable reviews, and Larue isn’t known for turning out junk... if you have $200 to spend on a trigger, get a Geissele SSA or SSA-E and don’t look back...
I just looked at the Larue link. I had no idea they had cut their price so much. I’m still a big fan of Geissele, and that’s the one I’d go with at the same price point. For under $100, the Larue is a no-brainer.
For the money, the 10/22 is hard to beat. They can be finicky and accuracy is plinking quality. The S&W 15-22 is about $100 more, and is a great gun that handles LOP issues for the little ones. For a "nicer" .22LR, the CZ 512 is quality and probably better than the current production...
I agree with D. Hargrove. Look through Altamont's selection. I put a rosewood Bataleur on the wife's 442. I really like the size and profile. A little bigger than a boot grip, but a lot more comfortable to shoot. www.altamontco.com
