Just takes a little practice. I don't know how but after all the years I've spent on kayaks and on the variety of water ways, I've never flipped on purpose. I have rolled on purpose in my pond and the bay near my in-laws house for practice though. Its only a matter of time, everyone does it...
That's the upgraded version from what I started with. That Pelican was a great starter boat for me. I've taken that thing down rivers, across ponds and lakes and even off shore in the gulf(not to far off shore though, lol).
That's cool. I spend most of my time in and around the Perdido Bay between Alabama and Florida but fish several others in the area as well. Red Fish are one of my favorites, so that's usually what I target when I'm down there.
Depends on the quality of the kayak on when or if they damage easy. I've just upgraded a couple times over the years. Most of the damage on any of mine have been rock rash on the river.
It's crazy that the road is the starting point for so many fights and incidents. I'm always amazed by all the "entitled" drivers who are in such a hurry and think the laws don't apply to them. Luckily no one was hurt, especially those living there and not involved.
Just curious who all on here kayak fish. I've fished all my life like most but have fished from a kayak for about 8 years. I mostly fish Oklahoma lakes and rivers but I also make several trips a year to Alabama & Florida to fish the bays and gulf.
Started out on a Pelican Castaway and am...
I appreciate it! I love that thing, bought it and started building it out when I was stationed in Virginia about 15 years ago. I've had several jeeps and build a variety of other toys too.
So I was going through a box of hats, doing a little spring cleaning when I came across this little jewel. I had three of them and wore all three of them out.
For reasons unknown to me, I guess I took a break from here for some odd reason. This was a great group back then and I'm guessing...

Well like a lot of others on here I grew up with a country back ground. We did a lot of camping and still do so it was always fun to me. What really got me into prepping was the city flooding in June of 2010. I lost my house in that flood. I was fortunate though. I was one of 6 people out of 208...
