Just spoke with ATT and it sounds like they’ll have fiber in my area in the next 2-3 months. I’m sure they’re just the lesser of two evils but I’ll do pretty much anything to avoid sending Cox another dime.
Am I the only one that experiences constant issues with Cox? Their internet is horrible and I have constant interruptions. We cut the cord and stream now. Not that it’s any cheaper but it feels good to send them fewer dollars since I’ve never received the internet speeds or reliability I pay...
Quick update. Managed to get it bored out to fit and encountered a number of other issues.
1). The shims to time the handguard don’t fit over the barrel so timing is going to be a pain.
2) the ears of the handguard that hug the side of the upper around the base of the picatinny rail are too...
Still unsure of where the variance came from. I still think Les Baer uses non standard barrels. Always wondered why they had such a terrible handguard and I think it was something they made or had special made. 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah I’ve thought about just using a drum sander but I want it to fit snug and the bore to be centered just right. I guess it couldn’t hurt to try. Can always get a new nut.
Cylinder hone sounds like it may do the trick.
I’ve got a barrel nut I need opened up to fit what is apparently an oversized barrel chamber OD.
I ordered a new Aero handguard for my Les Baer 6.5 Grendel AR. The barrel nut for the handguard, and apparently most barrel nut designs, are made to fit over 1” barrels at the chamber. This one is...
the barrel nut itself has an ID of 1.0035, so snug on a 1.0000” barrel. My barrel is 1.05” OD. Just wondering if the majority of barrel nuts are going to have, basically, an ID of 1.00”
Spoke with both Les Baer Custom and Aero. Both seem equally confused and claim their product is standard.
