Appendix carry leather holster from JRC Customs (Jim Ryan Customs). It’s the model AIWB CDA-II. It will fit the double stack non-railed Wilson Combat 1911 style firearms, including the EDC X9, SFT9, SFX9. It’s made for the original EDC-X9, so the newer 5” barrel guns will extend past the bottom...
Sorry man, that's normally how Jack adds you to the list. Might email him and get added on, especially if youre going to shoot it again. Once you're on it, you'll get the results every time, even if you don't shoot the match.
Cut off my Maverick 88 barrel myself. It's a vent rib, I cut it off at the next place the rib attached to the barrel past 18", just short of 18.5". Used a hacksaw and cleaned it up, square it off with a file. Be sure to get any burr out of the inside to make the bore smooth on the end. BTW, ATF...
Have you patterned with the #4 also? I thought the same thing and was planning to load mine up with 2-#4, 2-00, and last round slug. HD shotgun is a Maverick 88 I chopped to 18.5". With 00 and slug I'm good out to 20 yds(farthest I patterned) with#4 couldn't keep it all in a torso target at...
If I'm wearing a coat, G26 owb, normally with a cover shirt too in case I need to take off the coat. If it's tshirt weather, j frame on the ankle. Never had a problem with either exposing. I also don't believe in off body carry unless it's while seated in my truck. Then it's easier to get to...
Going back to Glock isn't an option. I have the correct mags, want to be able to leave a spare mag in each vehicle/mag holder nd it work for either gun. Don't want two mags that look the same but don't interchange. Stress induced excitement is NOT the time to be comparing mags to gun. It's time...
I just bought a XD40SC, thinking it would be able to use the longer mags from my XDM40. Apparently, the XDM mags are about 0.050" wider than the XD ones. The XDM mags will start into the mag well but get very tight. Could probably force them in, but couldnt get them out then. Can the mag well...
I have a 642 and have a owb(Galco Matrix), ankle(DeSantis), and pocket(Blackhawk) holsters. Owb very rarely used, pocket used a lot with cargo shorts in summer, ankle the rest. Honestly owb I can conceal my Glock 26 just as easy so don't carry 642 this way anymore.
For 9mm ccw, IMHO best is Glock 26. But if you have to have a single stack, I'd go Kahr. For me, the slight extra width of Glock is well worth the extra rounds. Not hard at all to conceal.
G26 owb, but has same issues you have now, S&W642 on ankle (have to watch pants riding up when sitting), or LCP front pocket. 642 is too heavy for pocket carry with thin suit pants.
Personally, I always cringe when someone talks about their CCW "rotation". I firmly believe you should become proficient with one platform and carry it and only it. JMO.
I'll agree with the single platform part, whether it's all point and shoot or all 1911 style safety sweep on draw, etc...
If you love the gun, look for a holster that fits you and the gun good. Take it (unloaded) to a gun shop that carries a variety of holsters. Tell them you'd like to try out different holsters to see what's comfortable. Most will be more than happy to help out and make recommendations. FWIW I...
