Have been hearing good things about the Tristar 12-gauge semi-auto. $399 at Academy. Haven't shot this, but trusted friend says they are trying to make their mark with a reduced price quality shotgun.
Buying a 12-gauge for my son and have been hearing that the Turkish made Tristar is a quality gun and reasonable price. Does anyone have any experience with this shotgun or heard anything positive or negative?
Bought both books listed, one on combat handgunnery and the other was digest of concealed Carry. They came yesterday and are fantastic.
Thanks again for the feedback.
Thanks for the advise. I have personally done the H&H approach for myself and you are correct, it can get very expensive. Planning on the buddy approach and will definitely start with the .22.
Name is Steve. I have been lurking around for some time. Just signed up last week and started getting active. Wealth of knowledge is incredible by all those on the board. I have been like a kid in a candy store and it has been very hard to focus on work.
Thanks to all that are willing to...
I have been reading threads like crazy and I am looking for recommendations for the best books on the topics of "Handgun owner's Guide", "Basics of Handguns" and also books on Ballistics. Not looking to start a library, but a couple of books that will catapult my learning. Thanks.
Ok, wife is interested in starter gun. Conditions: Easy to handle and conceal, very safe, not too much or too little stopping power. I will leave out the part about it looking good. Thoughts?
Good feedback. Lots of GLOCK fans. Should have narrowed question down to include best to conceal. Thanks for all of the responses. This is an amazing learning experience for me.
OK. I have read allof this. I have an Avalanche. I assume it would be OK to have loaded magazine in one locked storage compartment in truck bed and unloaded gun in the other locked compartment. Is that correct?
