Ya the worked great for awhile until it got out to everyone, and now everyone on the lake has them and the don't work very good anymore down there. We are going to Kaw Tuesday and going to try it out.
Guiding is a tough job. I have grown up on texoma and guided for 5 years. I quit in June last year there is easier ways to make money, and to be good you need to stick to just a couple of lakes only not traveling lake to lake.

We run Jugs by Bert set up with 2 hooks from tru turn and they work great. we usually set in 50-65ft of water with live shad and catch all the 30-60lb blue cats you can have here is a link on the hooks we use a 6/0 hook

I bought a 835 to hunt with this season and it has been the worst gun I have ever bought. I have had several miss fires and it not loading the next shell after it does shoot.
Ya beeting the water works great but gets tiring after awhile so we made a blade for the trolling motor so that it can run non stop. One we turn ours on in the morning when we start our trips they never get turned off till we get back to the dock. Here is a pic of what we made
Yes beating the water works great. We started doing it in 2010 and it stayed quite until last winter when it got out we actually pulled a patten on the blade and we are having it built by sunshine bait tanks.
