I hope the local DA chooses to appeal.

If he does the case will go to the Wisconsin State supreme court most likely. Whether the state supremes rule for or agin' the likelihood of the case going to SCOTUS would seem to be a given considering the nature of the question.

Imagine what would happen to carry laws country wide if SCOTUS agreed with the circuit judge.

Not a lawyer, but wouldn't this have to become a federal case to go to the SCOTUS?

If the Wisc. Supreme Court makes a ruling based on U.S. Constitution. either side can seek Certiorari review by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Doubt it will get that far.

If the local DA is an anti and smart he'll just leave it alone and not appeal the circuit judge's ruling.

If he does appeal the ruling and it makes it to the Wisconsin Supreme court I don't see any way it won't end up in the SCOTUS unless the SCOTUS weasels out of it by not granting certiorari which is possible.
