Checkout the Barrett .50 Cal , why sneak up on a pig when you can shoot it from 2 mile away. Only in America. This west Texas farmer had a feral-hog problem, Wild hogs will ruin a farm! HAD IS THE KEY WORD HERE! Crazy Texans

Funny, but fiction.

1. You don't get rid of hogs completely -ain't gonna happen.
2. You're lucky to be able to see 200 yards for an actual shot, let alone over 3,000. Little things called trees, shrubs, grass, draws, terrain.

1. Don't need to completely. Just cull the herd a bit.
2. Depends on the lay of the land. Get on a hill and a nice vantage point i'd be like shooting fish in a barrel. Imagine a pig being shot and his buddy next to him thinking "fock what's Fred doing, must be tired. Probably not much sound from 1+ miles away to scare the pigs after the first shot.
