Just watching the evening news orgy and wondering if we are going to see a new run on guns and ammo. It seems as though "they" (meaning MSM and left leaning reps.) have been waiting for just this opportunity to make a big push to roll back gun rights.

Figures, just when guns and ammo have returned to sane levels.

They are quick to point out the rhetoric on the right but where was the MSM when the left rhetoric included a movie about the assassination of Pres. Bush. Not a surrogate for Pres. Bush but the actual Pres. Bush. The double standard is just absurd. The quickest way to a true police state is the implementation of violent tactics.

I would see it being hi-cap mags and the pistols that accept them to be the first targets. But it could be expanded very easily, remember the proposed "Arsenal law" a few years back? Then there's always the danger of another retroactive act like Laughtenberg that could effect millions of gun owners instantly. Depends on how emotional the issue becomes and how brave they are.

If everybody would stay calm and not participate in the ammo/magazine buying frenzy it wouldn't last, if it even starts at all.

Current political climate and the liberal agenda likely has a large impact on the ammo economy but perhaps this has something to do with it also?

I bought some cheap .223 ammo at Brigadoon Military Surplus in Del City. It's $357 for 1k rounds (ammo can included) or 35.70 per box of 100. (American Eagle Tactical AE223) Brass cased, boxer primed, FMJ. Cheaper than Wal-Mart! :D

Enjoy,
