I can't keep the Smith and Wesson semi auto numbering system straight. What I was wondering is this. Did they make an alloy frame .45, single stack that works for conceal carry? I have a 3913 that I carry, and a J frame but would like the option of a 45. I would like a Kimber, but I am not going to part with that much money for a carry gun. So, I was thinking, the Smith autos can be had for reasonable prices. 3 gen ones seem pretty reliable. I just don't know what to look for. Something not full sized but in 45. Any such beast out there?
Thanks!

I never could keep the SW 3rdgen numbers straight either....
But would not hesitate using any of them for a carry gun

Every 4506 or 3913 I find pops up when I am broke

The only downside... SW magazines are expensive and are not always in local gun shops, in stock
