For home defense 00 buckshot is often the round of choice.
But do you know what pattern 00 buckshot makes at close range?

It's my contention that most folks don't realize just how tight a pattern 00 Buckshot throws at 7-8 yards or less.

Excellent post.

Curious as to why the 8 yards?

I'm not voting, because our shotty isn't in the lineup for home defense yet. But I will pattern it before it does.

I have. To those that see no need our requirements are different. I want to know what my SG and load/choke will do. Some loads are blown by at 10 yards and some are almost a single hole. Don't know until you check.
