And I must say I am so danged happy with it's performance.

After a good initial cleaning to get all the factory goop out of it,,,
I took it to the range and broke it in with 100 rounds of Mini-mags,,,
I gave it a quick takedown, wipe off, and re-lube and ran 150 rounds of El Cheapo Centurion.

There was one fail to feed in the 2nd magazine of Mini-mags,,,
After that the gun has performed flawlessly for me,,,
I've now put over 1,000 rounds through it,,,
With no feed or fire problems at all.

I liked it so much that yesterday I bought a matching Thunder 380,,,
I love owning .22/centerfire pairs of matching pistols.

I went a different route and bought a EAA Witness (Tanfoglio) 9mm with a 22LR conversion kit. That way I can shoot the 22 for practice and fun but have the power of the 9mm in the same gun. I also own a Bersa Thunder 380 which is a great gun.

I went this way in the late 90’s with a pair of Astra Constables. I taught my daughter the manual of arms for semi-auto pistols on the .22LR. She also learned the hard way not to pick up spent brass too quickly. Blister on her index finger ended that range session early.

S&W Model 34 and Model 36,,,
S&W Model 18 and Model 15,,,
Bersa Thunder 22 and Bersa thunder 380,,,
CZ-75B in 9mm and CZ-75B Kadet in .22 LR,,,
Colt Trooper Mk III in .22 LR and .357 magnum.

I recently purchased a Beretta Model 87 in .22 LR,,,
Someday I'll buy a Beretta Model 85 in .380 to go with it.

The only other 22/centerfire pair on my list is a long way away,,,
But someday I will acquire a S&W Model 17 and a Model 14.

I've always wanted a suppressed .22 handgun,,,
A range acquaintance of mine has a tricked out Ruger 22/45,,,
His has a suppressor that works wonderfully coupled with a red dot optical sight.

It gets him noticed a lot though,,,
We were at our range one day and someone called the cops on him,,,
Of course he was dong nothing illegal and suffered no consequences at all over it,,,
But the mere fact that it gets him noticed is something I do not relish should I ever decide to get one.

I've never wanted to go through the tax stamp procedure,,,
I don't wear a tin foil hat but the less the feds know about me, the better off I feel. :screwy:

the threaded barrel cost about 70 bux. i had to purchase an extended barrel from bersa, then have it cut and threaded... so 35 for the barrel plus 40 for the threading... ya, its my fave raange gun, worked the trigger in nicely from just shooting it, and pretty dern accurate!!! i just love how compact they are with the can on...thats what makes em the go tos

that being said, everyone loves my cans, and have never had the cops show up, just lucky i guess.

I have a full sized Bersa Thunder 9 that I bought used on here for... $225 maybe? Anyway, it is CZ-ish, holds 17 in the mag, and shoot a nice tight group. Bersa is a GREAT gun for the money.
