Official 5/11/11 weather thread

post up rain totals, hail reports, wind, damage, anything weather related.

here in altus we got some little storms off and on early this morning. we have another round headed our way.

they are saying pretty active day. stay safe!

The only window in my office looks down onto the shop floor.

I usually don't know what's going on outside until 3:30 when it's time to go home, unless 100 people in a row post up pictures of the same rainbow on Facebook.

I think the Altus - Clinton area is a no go for good severe weather... one word: crapvection from this morning's storms.

However, I did get 0.3" of rain.

1:27pm here in downtown OKC. Just saw a bolt of lightning and starting to rain lightly. SW to W of OKC looking dark.

yeah i dont think its working out quite like they were expecting. thats fine with me though. rain is good. storms are bad.

I'll accept some rain, my lawn still isn't growing at full potential yet, but it'd be nice to see a lightning strike or two, hear some thunder, something...

Aunt at Lake Creek, north of Granite said they had half an inch there this AM. You know they need it. They had a little pea size hail, too, but too late on the rain, if they haven't plowed the wheat up they have already cut and baled it. At my house in OKC, NW of Council and Hefner had 2 tenths off and on with a lot of thunder around right now. Raining hard here now at 313 PM.
