I have a new (and my first) AR and I am just chomping at the bit to get to a range to shoot it. But because of a bicycle accident that left me blind in my right eye, I have to shoot rifles left handed. I have seen some add on deflectors that can help throw the casing away from the face when shooting lefty but I didn't know if this would be an issue or not. Any other lefty shooters out there that can give me a head's up on this? Or even other problems I might encounter shooting lefty.

I am a Lefty and have fired just about everything in the inventory including many in full auto.
Even with my 1928 Thomson full auto which ejects up and to the back.

NEVER had a problem with brass hitting me, But as sure as I say that you will eat some (Grin)

I have ambi JP safeties on all my lowers but it's as much for ease of fitment with their triggers than it is for the ambi safety switch.
