A buddy of mine and I got into some hogs last night. We killed all 4 that we saw.

weapon of choice for hog that was in the trap. The one on top of the pile.

Butchered all 4 last night and put meat in a salt/ice water bath in an ice chest to soak for a few days. I will change out water each day and replenish the ice. Usually by the 3rd day the water stays pretty clear. Then they will get a good rubbing and in the smoker they go.

3 gilts and a boar. I haven't had a bad hog yet. Biggest I butchered was about 225 live weight sow.
Dissappointed? No spotted hogs? They have been easy targets so I think they are getting bred out of the genetics lol.
