Being new to the .308 I was wanting your proven loads for .308. Specifically for bolt action long range(500-800 yards) and in the 150-168 weight range. Also include your OAL and best primer. I was thinking H4895 powder to start but want your experiences as to what works best.

I love my old competation load. It is the same as the military M-852. LC Brass (weighted out), Fed 210MG primers, 45 grs of IMR 4895 or 4064. OAL is 20/1000s off the lands. Best twist is 11.5 to 1. 22 inchs long barrel. If you need some brass, let me know.
That is with 168 gr SMK
