I had no idea you could use a shotgun in muzzlelaoder.. Can you have 5 shells loaded or do you have to plug off gun for single shot?

Does anybody use shotgun for muzzleloader season? Do you use a scope?

Legal Means of Taking
Muzzleloading rifles, shotguns or pistols:
.40 caliber or larger rifle or pistol, or 20-gauge or larger shotgun, firing a single slug or ball that is loaded from the muzzle.

Man, i really never read into this. I have a wonderful slug gun and have never used it during ML season. Time to do some research. I originally got it for shotgun only public areas.

Nope. Has to be loaded from the muzzle.
