Thinking about taking a trip up there in May to do some fishing. We will probably hire a guide for a day and maybe take a boat. Looking for recommendations for a guide and place to stay. We need a cabin that sleeps 4 adults. Nothing to fancy in a quiet area and not to expensive if that's possible. We have been to Texoma but want to try something different and hopefully catch some bigger fish.

I have seen that website and a few others. I was hoping to hear from someone that has been there and could make a personal recommendation.

Gene Chapman. He lands more fish over 20 lbs than anyone on the lake. He has a really rooms for rent. You can fish the river and catch some monster trout, hybrids, white bass, spotted bass when you aren't striper fishing. I recomend late July and August. You'll fish at night for stripers and you can fish the river in the evening with him and his son. They have 2 river boats.

I went last year I caught a 13 lb striper and my buddy caught a 36 lb the second night. He had a 45 lb fish in the freezer waiting on the taxidermist to pick it up.

Well I've been there with two different guides. We did fair and caught very few nice ones but it was in early spring; very cold and rain. I am thinking about going back there in June with one of those guides that I went with: http://beaverfeverguides.com/ or http://www.big1sstriperguide.com/ I still haven't decided if we are going to Beaver Lake or try Ouachita lake yet....
