I meant I would have reacted the same way Shot reacted, as in I would have left the establishment. I think you must have read, or maybe I was not clear in my writing, that I was taking up for the store owner.

Oh yea. Me too lol. Sorry. Yea I would have acted the same way. I would have just left.

Wow I will have to stay out of that establishment. I appreciate the update. I always like visiting local gun shops just to check out what they have or even to get a look at a firearm before making a purchase.

While I realize you said you weren't taking pictures.

Go to about any gunshop and make it look like your taking pictures and see how fast they run you off.
The owners, employees and any customers in there won't like it unless you get permission first.

I had a gunshop for 20 years and the only time a customer came in and asked to take some pictures of a couple guns I got burgled a couple weeks later.

Some burglars take photos of mechandise and get customers before they break in. that way they know how much they are going to get and where to take it so they don't have to hold it.

Back in the late 70's -early 80's there was a couple that did that to a bunch of Tulsa antique shops before they finally got caught.

Go to most any Gun Show and start snapping pictures and see how fast your escorted out.

Wow. Seems to me that the guy is pretty paranoid for some reason. I would like to know the reason behind his paranoia before making the decision to never enter his establishment. I too would have felt insulted by the guy coming outside to write my tag number down even if I had taken a couple pictures of his guns. Guess maybe I'm pretty thick headed because I can't think of any harm that could be done by taking a picture of one of his guns anyway.

Perhaps the person operating the store should have made that policy known. Might have saved him a customer and a sale.
