American gun use is out of control. Shouldn't the world intervene?

The annual toll from firearms in the US is running at 32,000 deaths and climbing, even though the general crime rate is on a downward path (it is 40% lower than in 1980). If this perennial slaughter doesn't qualify for intercession by the UN and all relevant NGOs, it is hard to know what does.

Talking with such willfully self-blinded people is bound to be fruitless. Let him wait for next round of riots and see if his attitude about the right of self defense doesn't change.

I think I read in one of those articles that the UK's gun crime is up 600% since they banned firearms back in like 78?

Of course, that article was from 2003. Who knows if it's up or down from there. But seems like the whole banning guns thing didn't do quite what they expected, either way? And that's just gun crime, I believe their violent crime rate is much much higher.

Again... maybe I just made that one up? Whatever...
