Anybody tried out the PWS Summit?

I was looking into buying a Primary Weapons Summit .22lr, has anyone got to check these out on the range?

Looks like a cool out of the box tack driver.

It would make a great suppressor host with that toggle single action & threaded muzzle.

I have one that I bought just to suppress. It is extremely light weight, handles very well, is fast to cycle, and really cuts down on the action noise. The only negative is the cost. Look on gunbroker if you want to save a little.

It's a cool concept but way too much $$ to turn a Ruger 10/22 into a bolt action gun. I have this rifle and it's VERY accurate and very quiet suppressed and is setup already with a threaded barrel, picatinny rail, accutrigger, and larger bolt handle. Just a suggestion.

Pretty much. I also have the Savage FVSR and they are really different animals and not comparable, but that is just my opinion. I would say to go for the Summit if you are a fan of the 10/22 platform and the ease of changing barrels, stocks, and triggers. The trigger on the Summit is VERY nice, though not quite as nice as my KIDD triggers. The barrel does seem to be on par and every bit as good as my lightweight KIDD and noticeably nicer than my TacSol. But, like has already been stated, these things are pricey for a rimfire.

I was this close to building one up with an integral barrel. Decided in the end to get an integral CZ 455 instead for less money. Still want one eventually.
