Just now heard about this...

EL RENO, Okla. —A former leader of the American Legion is accused of stealing thousands of dollars and valuable guns from the veteran's group.

“He sure had us all fooled,” said former American Legion member J. C. Taylor.
Taylor claims David Kellerman made a great first impression.
“He jumped in was doing all kinds of work and helping the Legion and promoting it,” Taylor said.
Taylor said Kellerman quickly rose through the ranks after he joined the El Reno Post of the veteran’s group and was even elected Commander, but Taylor claims that's when things started going downhill.
“He started changing. We found out he was a liar and a thief and a womanizer,” Taylor said.
Taylor claims Kellerman turned to drugs and stole all the cash he could find even writing checks to his own family. Kellerman is even accused of stealing more than 100 vintage military rifles.
“He had, like, 120 (rifles) altogether that he accumulated from different posts around the state of Oklahoma. The National Guard loans them to American Legion Posts for ceremonial activities,” Taylor said.
Kellerman was supposed to return the rifles to the government but instead is accused of selling them and pocketing the cash. Some of the rifles he allegedly sold were recovered at an El Reno business, others at an El Reno home but many others remain missing.
Investigators have only recovered 20 rifles so far.
