DEFENSIVE PRACTICAL RIFLE MATCH

Saturday April 5 2014
$12 match fee/$10 for OCR&GC members

Sign-in begins 0930
Safety Meeting/Stage walk-through 1000

Expect 5 stages for about 65-75 rounds rifle/20 rounds handgun

I am planning on shooting this match for the first time next month (May). Here are my questions. How many magazines are required? Is a sling required? If so is there a certain style/type required? Any strange rules/equipment requirements I may need to know about?

I would bring at least 3 mags. A sling is not required but helps move from stage to stage with your gear. It's a lot of fun.

A pretty good challenge COF wise. The competitors did quite well. A couple of us had equipment issues and did not finish (DNF).

The next Defensive Rifle match is Saturday May 3.

It was an awesome event and I really enjoyed myself. Highly recommend anyone with an interest in participating do so. Everyone was really helpful and nice, especially the gentleman at the front who helped me sign in and explained a few things to me.

LoudShirt, I brought five pre-loaded magazines and two empties to load with spare rounds for forced reload scenarios and that was more than enough.
