I am thinking about building a 6.5 Grendel on one of my lowers. Threaded barrel for suppressor host. This would become my hog gun. Any opinions?
Dr JJ has Saturn Barrels.
Tack drivers. Start with a barrel, and progress to the Bolt carrier group.
If your going to be shooting a pig or so on occasion, get a basic Bolt Carrier Group/stripped upper/floating hand guard, and enjoy the ride.
No reason for one of the $500 BCG's. I shoot my $150 BCG to 300 yds accurately and its a cheapo model.

The accuracy of the 6.5 Grendel is amazing. The knockdown ability of the 6.5 bullet is very good, at 2800-3000 fps the wound cavity is very good. I'm not familiar with the Saturn barrels dennishoddy mentioned but I am sure they're OK since he mentioned them.

I bought a satern 223 wylde off dr jj. So far I like it seems to shoot very well. Need to do some more load development though

I finally decided on a 6.8 spc. Ordered several parts this morning.
