We lost a family dog about three years ago that was truely a family menber. Border Collie Golden Retriever mix, super intelligent. Hard to get over loosing a loved one.

Very sorry to hear about your loss...I too went through this twice in a year with 2 German Shepherds, Sadie first at 14 then my best dog ever Jake also 14 years old, it's heart wrenching, I actually had a vet come to my house to put down Jake....I cried like a baby and not ashamed to admit it...now we have a new female yellow lab puppy, she is a hoot, a pain as well but has brought new joy to the house. Again sorry to hear about your dog...
I still think dogs do go to heaven...
