900 MHz router for the smart meters?

I am sure the range is pretty good. It definitely is a router of some sort.
Just checked the house and I don't have a smart meter. Am I gonna have to shoot that thing?

They put a smart meter in my house about a month ago. That's probably the device that reads them and transmits the info to the utility company. My electric service is underground so don't know where the gizmo is that reads it, unless it somehow transmits over the electric wires themselves. I will have to talk to the electric people and find out.
