When we made a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, Idaho, and back through Utah in 2002, I suggested just spending a couple of days in Yellowstone so we could see more country as we traveled. Thankfully, I was overruled and we spent 5 days, just in Yellowstone. I'm glad I was overruled because there is just too much there to see in just a day or two.
Now, you need to plan vacations where you can spend more time in each place, plus get your lines wet for a longer time. From our Yellowstone trip:
