Is there a legal way to search for the owner of a vehicle by a tag number & home address( rented condo).

Anyone recommend a good PI.

Pm for details, This is concerning a divorce.

Take the tag number to a tag office and ask for a printout on it. It costs between $3 and $7. They may have you fill out a half-page form and show ID, but it is not a big deal. For the reason, say that you need it for a parking lot hit and run, or tell the truth.

Would this work for an out of state tag? These are rented condo's.

No, you need a cop for a friend, or send that state a title inquiry, which takes a long time.

What brand vehicle is it? If it's a Chrysler product I know someone at a dealer.......they may be able to run the VIN.

The courts don't do the adultery thing anymore, they just use the term incompatibility. However, if you do get the goods on whomever, it might embarrass them to the extent that you get to keep the majority of your stuff. No one likes to lose their stuff, especially when what you imply has happened. Probably you need to speak to a good divorce attorney?
