Have an 870 tactical 18" barrel with fixed choke. First one I've seen. Anyone if there is ammo I shouldn't shoot through this?

If it doesn't state on the barrel what the choke is, measure the diameter. Like stated above, if it's mod, improved mod, I/C or open, you're safe.
For a remington, Mod would be .712
I/C would be .721
open would be .730

I'll measure. Remington customer service said that I shouldn't shoot steel through it. I'm pretty sure it's a cyl

I wouldn't trust anything through a Remington chamber. **** company IMO
You can shoot steel through it. You wont hurt it. (Or yourself)
