This is my boy, giving his speech for his local school competition. We'll find out on Tuesday if he gets to move on to the state competition in Enid next month.



I think he's a shoe-in, but that's just me! ;)





Ignore the hair, lol. He's going through a phase where he wants to keep the 'fro, and it looks good when he leaves for school, but he was nervous sitting and waiting to deliver his speech in that assembly for THREE HOURS while other kids went first. So I think he was playing with his hair.

I tease him that he looks like a Q-tip, the scrawny little turd. lol

That is great. Congratulations on having such a talented son! Public speaking is one of the very best things we did with our kids through 4-H. It has served them well. Great confidence builder and way to stand out in many different situations. Keep it up!
