I had planned to go early this morning,,,
But the roads look nasty,,,
And it's cold out there.

If it warms up later on I might still make it today,,,
If not I'll go early on Sunday.

It's a small show but last time it had good vendors,,,
I really like their no flea market stuff rule.

Last time I found a few nice items to spend my money on.

Went today. Nice selection of powder. Picked up a couple of pounds.
The price was higher than PV's base price, but when you add shipping and hazmat the show price was cheaper.

And there were a bunch of guns for sale,,,
A couple of older 22 rifles tempted me mightily.

But I resisted the urge and came out gun-less.

I did find a nice little scope though,,,
I have an older Western-Field single-shot .22 rifle,,,
I recently purchased the proper cantilever scope mount for it.

The problem to me is that modern style scopes look odd on the gun,,,
So I've been on the lookout for a more appropriate scope,,,
I found a United Golden Hawk 4 x 32 for $25.00.

It's clear,,,
Focused right up,,,
And does look good on the rifle.

So the little show was worth the 1 hour drive to me.

I should have know better than trust a stranger. I bought some 30 cal. ammo cans from that older white haired guy in the middle. He said he was selling them for a friend. They were taped up in bundles of five. I asked him if they were in good shape inside and not all rusted up. He said they were in good shape and had good seals . I just opened them up to fill them with the 3500 rds of 5.56 I just finished loading and found that they had been full of dirt at some time and there is some rust also. I was really needing those cans to clear my bench off. I see another trip to Camo Corner soon.
