Good to know. That really limits the areas to check.

Look for the area where rip-rap meets the mud line along dams and bridges. right where the two meet at that depth is were you might find some this time of year. Won't be long and they will be moving away from there and heading for their spawning areas. Meanwhile as the water warms up, they will move up with it.

Went out to Kaw Tuesday afternoon. Not much activity until about an hour before dark. The wind went to zero, and the bite was on.
Found them suspended in open water 30' deep on pods of bait fish, from 9-16' deep. Ended up with 17 crappie and one sand bass.
